core profiling

I know this topic has probably been raised in the forum, but hoping to get some input on core profiling.I can't seem to get over the hump profiling full core through the planer on a sled. I am pouring urethane sidewalls, leaving about 3 inches of wood beyond the tip and tail, and using double sided ...

Snowboard mold design files

I just picked up an Origin Shaper and hoping to build a new mold, this one will be adjustable nose and tail blocks. Before I dive into designing this, I am wondering if anyone has a design file that they may be interested in selling, or could point me to a resource that may? Seems like a waste to st...

split board hardware placement SnoCad

I am working on building my first split board and wondering if anyone has figured out how to layout the hardware in SnoCad. Is there a way to do this, or am I going to have to do it by hand on the MDF template?
thanks!

Re: Trimming edgeless snowboard tail/nose

Ok thanks. So you just freehand it using the base as the guide, and just cut carefully and run the edge through a sander to finish?

Trimming edgeless snowboard tail/nose

I searched the forum for this topic but no luck.. I’m thinking about a partial edge wrap on my next swallowtail build to simplify the edge wrap and try a new technique. Could someone advise the best method to trim the board after the press without edges? Do you use the base template to trim the flas...

bending edges on a swallowtail snowboard

I am building a swallowtail snowboard, and trying to bend the inside curve of the tail, which means the edge needs to be bent away from the tabs, inside of the normal direction you would bend edging. Steel edges are designed to be bend in the direction of the tabs, and when bent in the opposite dire...

Re: Snowboard setback and camber dimensions

Thanks for the feedback. I haven't been able to find any real discussion on the topic, nor do any manufacturers mention it on their spec sheets. Guessing that the impact on ride is negligible except for the high and low end.

Snowboard setback and camber dimensions

I am building up a new snowboard press and designing a bottom mold. Wondering if anyone can give me some guidance on setback and camber height for an all mountain snowboard? On my previous mold I copied the profile of a burton flight attendant and it worked ok. Hoping to fine tune this next one.
