@vinman: Will try to rabbet the abs after profiling next time. Did replace the torn up parts and had to rabbet them again ... this was working without problems. So i see no disadvantage in rabbeting after profiling (maybe my router bit is pushing down good, its one with replaceable hss blades). Next...

Btw. anyone using a 380V version (europe)? I wonder if these are 1 phase only or 2 / 3 phase (meaning 2 or 3 wire loops inside the mat).

I think etch foil makes only sense if you do more then 1 or 2. Then its cheaper and more consistent (from the layup) compared to the wired ones.

Didnt find anything about this. Is it necessary / better to rabbet the tipspacer as well if there is an edge?

Not easy with 2mm material ;)

@vineman: yes hotglue is the ticket, just pita to remove. you glue it full length (on the thin parts) or just drops every some cm?

So, i think its time to show some steps and findings ... All starts with a good shaper: goes on with planner crib (thanks forum!): Did use leftover wood for spacers, planned to full mm sizes and use 0.2 & 0.3mm steel spacers to get the sizes i need Tried to avoid edge pullout via couple of metho...

Btw. we did put a new empty ink tank and a full one on a scale, it was more then 0.5kg difference.... 0.5kg ink just wasted ... :|

I ordered some cartridges via ebay, its a chinese seller. Shipping was quick, but i assume it hangs at customs right now. I can tell you more when i receive the cartridges. Ordered some ink dampers too (think of ink filters), these can be blocked by supply ink. Good to have spares on hand (2-3$ / co...
