My cores are done. sidewalls, profiled, inserts, tipspacers, exerything except for flame treating.

I know you have to flame treat the sidewalls, but how do you do that without damaging the core i.e. catching it on fire?

Urgent questions

We plan on laying up a ski in the morning, and need quick answers to the follwing questions:
- Is the bottom of the base the smooth side or the textured side?
- How are you supposed to flame treat the sidewalls which are attached to the wood core?

we used 2 metal flanges threaded on the inside and an adapter and then a quick connect valve for the air compressor from home depot

I made the mold using a turbocad printout of the tip, camber section and tail-> templates-> cut out and sand pieces->bolt together alternating pieces (tip/tail, then camber, then tip/tail again, etc.)
