Free stone grinder minneapolis

here ya go fellas - I've used this machine before, you need 3 phase and a compressor, stones a little small at 120mm, but the price is right. I would snatch it myself, cept that I have a 330mm stone already.

That machine is dual voltage - single phase 110 or 220.

LTL shipping is inexpensive these days. I shipped a 700 lbs machine from cali to toronto canada for $600 - that's over 2000 miles

Thanks for the machine Brett, I meant to post this earlier. You will be happy to hear that I've cleaned it up, fixed all minor little things, (feedwheel bands, bent spray skirt, new feedwheel cable, new fontaine roller knob, noisy feed motor, bent castors) and she runs smooth and quietly now. I laug...

Thanks chenzo. Do you use aluminium oxide belts? Yes I do, but I prefer others. I find that alu ox are very durable and last a long time, but they tend to leave a hairy finish. I mostly use stone grinders for finishing, although I may prep them with a belt first. A nice belt to have for deburring, ...

This one just popped up. Says its a single phase unit. It looks like an Allstone to me. Located in Alberta, I'd pay around 500 for it. The asking price of 900 is somewhat reasonable though.

The board in the pic above was processed with a stone grinder. But to answer your question I would start with a couple of passes at low belt speed on 80 grit, then a couple on 120, and a handful on 150 or 180. You just have to be careful base sanding as its very possible to relieve the edge (base hi...

not exactly cheap, but it does have a feed wheel (which is not necessary, but is good for consistency)

I have the same machine. Very easy to wire. The original feed motor is a baldor dual voltage. You can check what voltage it is wired for by using the wiring diagrams on the plate. What does your start switch look like? If I was there I could teach you how to wire it in about 10 minutes. hit me at - ...
