Thanks for the reply SA. Well, I already have the carbon and glass so I’ll take another look at this. I have 20 and 22 oz triax as well so I can mix and match and come up with something

Just curious what you were comparing to my layup to?

Cheers, Bill

Resurrecting this thread once again. I’ve been away from building for a couple years but ready to have another go around. I’ve searched many threads looking for info on carbon/fg combinations. One thing I’ve learned is there is no single answer... I talked with a guy at fiberglass supply and h...

Interesting stuff. For the skis pressed so far we lay up on a separate table and work the Entropy into the fabric until it appears uniformly saturated. I'm guessing that with the "proper" amount of epoxy, uniformly applied, full saturation may not take place until the skis are in the press...

The fabric was inspired by I think sammer. Although we didn't dye our own.

Well, probably not the first to do this but.... didn't realize there was a protective coating on the nylon top sheet and had a 50/50 chance to get it right. You got it, peal coating down. Comes of easily and may be able to reuse. I think I could re press, but I use Entropy with heat and wonder if re...

Yeah, Vince says the textured is getting reordered by some of his customers. He also wondered if the snow might slide off the textured better? He's waiting for feedback. Twizz, those skis with the native graphics over the bamboo are sweet. Now i need to figure out graphics on a computer, it never en...
