I know that most of you use a shopvac for the holddown system, but also when just pressing it feels like hours til the air gets sucked out of the hose- Therefore my question: would a combination of two vacuum pu...

Finally got an answer. Price is 350€ for 1100m. The Edges are from Friedrich Deutsch Metallwerk in Innsbruck Is anyone interested in taking a part of the share? Shipping in Germany costs 40€. I would have him send it to me and i can forward it (or if you live close, you might as well pick it up, of ...

My Vacuum Pump gets a pressure of 600 to 700 mbar. It was a very cheap pump (used for like 70€). I'd like to achieve just a little bit more pressure... therefore my question: does it make sense to combine two smaller Vacuum Pumps to get closer to the absolute vacuum? Or does it make more sense to ha...

Hey HuckPituee. I'm another admirer of your beautiful boards.

Whats the weight of the carbon mat and how's the riding? Too stiff or just right?

My guess is that most companies don't actually change "anything" (I use this term..err..loosely) when they make skis longer, they just get stretched out. Sidecut dimensions don't change (e.g. a Mantra is something like 130/95/115 (or whatever) regardless of length Thats totally true, thou...

old topic, but as i was doing some gear advice inside a huge sports-shop today (first time i was doing something similar - how do the clerks manage to stand indoors all day) and didn't have too much to do, i couldn't resist to take a closer look at the topic. Result: Yes, Skis do get thicker with le...

First of all: Thanks Rich for the documents. Great. When i had the whole thing submerged in water for about two days, i could easily lift the topsheet off with a knife - guess thats not a good sign. Though i think this is rather due to the pressing procedure (clamps only) than to the materials used....
