I use CPM but got told by Jaime from entropy in Spain that CLR also would work under pressure and heat but have never tried it. But he recommends CPM... so, well, dunno? test it.

Ive done a few pairs with veneer and top sheet. No bubbles since I started using the "alotofextraepoxy" technique. I wet out the veneer and then add an extra 200 g of epoxy down the middle. When the extra epoxy is pressed out it seems to bring all of the bubbles with it.

I guess what he wants is a "classy" "noble" binding. So if it is all white instead of black or something is probably fine to.

Hepp
I have a costumer who wants black alpine bindings without logos. Anyone know of where to find something like that?

As an open question to all you wise people what is the main point in having a reversed sidecut in the tip? I have built a few skis with it but I like the ones with a longer sidecut better in all conditions. Design example: an all mountain ski with camber under foot and a rocker front. With a "normal...

The shortest radius I have ever built on a grownup ski is 10 meters. It is the funnest skis ever on ice and hard packed. it throws you around. I don't know if I could handle shorter with my tele bindings but I guess you could go even shorter with alpine. It has an aggressive, but short, tip rocker a...

I just tried to spoon a noboard with uni glas running the length of the board top and bottom and a layer of 90 degrees on top of the top layer. Heat form above. It came out the other way around.. Don't really understand it. The aimed for full rocker came out just fine but the spoon turned itself ins...

AAAAAAAHHHHHhhhh you are so much over thinking this. wood works fine. steel does too. My sled is made of coated plywood and I use a candle to wax the gliding parts. super smooth super précis as long as you take your time when changing it. I have a bolt every 15 cm and a vacuum hold down. If I would ...

We use a similar construction but with wooden rails. Remember to measure the hight from the sled instead of the rails!

AHHHHHHHH like riding a rollarcoaster! The yellow fellow, tom bobadillo, supercarver. In retrospect I probably shouldn't have cut the tail but what a ride! I've been away for a week of skiing and have lended them out to everyone. People return with bruises and smiles. A split second out of focus and...

I glued alot off woods together yesterday with epoxy, forgot to do a test with veneers, but some of the pieces of wood were almost veneer thin. No issue. they all stick together. It was for a project but I tried to pull all the rest peices apart. The wood broke before the resin. I used entropy. I us...
