A company called camax sells magnetic inserts or a magnetic sticker that goes ontop of the cap so you can use the metal filings(they also sell) to find the inserts. I just ordered 2000 magnetic caps. there like 3.5 cents each. cant go wrong. nothing worse then miss drilling. the will only do that on...

Goz: I used smooth-on 790. cured perfectly. its the goods. I was going to add a colored tint, but figured id keep it straight forward for the first couple. Dr.: Yes I was reffering to having my inside sidwalls of these splitboards rubber. I believe that would dampen the board too much for my persona...

So I figure it was time to crack into this Poly U. For the first boards I will make splits but keep it simple with just wood sidewall in the center. I dont think Id want the dampening of rubber down the middle of my board anyway? I preffer the feeling of a "live wire" . As I said before =)...

Thanks Chris. Vinman:I bought from sudaglass because they have no minimum order. Unfortunately there triax is a 28 ounce. The do have bias and uni that could be stacked, but though I have not tryed that method, I'd think it sucks up a lot of resin. Basaltex has the good triax, but they have a 50m mi...

I have stopped my core shift issues. 4 wood blocks glued to the sides of the core. they contain holes in them for inserts, spray glue b...

Brazen has it (board building basics and nice equipment). He just has shitty graphics and bad style. Unfortunetly thats what sells most snowboards. For this reason, and probably others that have to do with money and time, he selling it off. I have a hard time not burning him since he rips of so many...

Nice idea twizz. I found a great method though. Earth magnets. Cilinder shape.same diameter as the insert. You can pretty much throw it at the board and it sticks directly ontop of an insert.

Yes ben, I want it stiff. It wont be too stiff. the uni carbon is full length but only one inch width per "ski" above and below core. More of a stringer than a layer. I also compensated by not making the core thicker. most splitboards have a thicker core than a reg. board ive found. But......
