really interesting topic ! twizz, can you share more numbers about your skis I plan do build same sort of skis for my wife, about the same size (158) I wonder what radius you used, and are you happy with it ? I plan to set a quite short radius, around 14/15m, to have a ski that turns easily and quic...

Sorry, I didn't want to be mean or anything once again, I've never test this, but I just wanted to add some explainations I don't know where you guys live, but here, in France, snow falls often comes with wind. And wind move snow. So really often, during a climb, you can have to cross an icy slope t...

don't call it stupid if you don't understand why ;)

the reason of the 3 part splitboard is to get a more efficient ski for the climbing

with 3 part, skis are narrower, so lighter, and more efficient on hard snow / icy snow

I've never tried but I'm sure that's an efficient toy

I'm not a skier, and not a expert

I think tail length is not a detail, for a ski/snow that need to avoid sinking. IMO, yours is a bit too short

the problem is I'm not sure of the right design, so I prefer not giving any advice that can be wrong

thanks, I'm using 840g FG (30oz ?) so I guess 11mm is too much I'll probably go with 10 so I'm still not sur about the tip and tail shape. I want to keep the size for the camber/rocker, but maybe increase the running length. so have the widest point in the rocker part. my guess is that it can add ea...

thanks,
I didnt notice, as I do not have so much to compare, but now you've said that, you're probably right about epoxy.

I guess at that step, I was more focused on the next layers to come. newbie's mistake !

I'll probably sand the top and do some kinf of epoxy coat to have a smoother top
