overpressure valve
$2? I will add one asap ! I have a $5 silencer on my plumbing already and its awesome, when I release the pressure it is a lot easier on the old ears, I also have a needle valve to control the inflation/deflation rate as its more adjustable than the good old ball valve. Never enough safety precautio...

over pressure
I've got a 2nd hand Norgren regulator/drier on my press, and have it limited to 60psi, longer term I intend to add an over pressure valve like Mike Magruder has on his MonkeyPress, thats prob the best and cheapest fiddleproof protection anyway. Glad to hear you didn't get any flying metal - can you ...

Some of them might be successfu...

Hey bud, listen to the advise you're getting, step back and think before you open your mouth or blog, MM is right most of what you've said is a load of BS. If you want to be a part of this very helpful team then don't stir up shit all the time. You are young and keen, thats great stay that way, but ...

Their only motivation in advising you is to stop you killing or maiming yourself or your family/mates. If your press...

twisted hoses
Hi , yep I have been wrestling with my hoses too, they twist noticably and require a bit of force to twist stright when inflated. I am not sure how madly this will affect laminating when they are jammed inbetween the cassette and top of press but I am trying to sort mine out too. I think this is due...

Press design
Hi, I'm in CHCH currently finishing my press. Its a 2.5m long 350mm wide I-beam style side loader, very meaty approx 700KG finished made out of 360UB50 beams and 32 x 24mm 8.8 bolts holding it together. This style is way stronger and I believe a lot easier to use, however it is more heavy materials ...

sidewalls and stringers
Hi, I'll try a bit of wandoo if I can get my hands on it, sounds like good stuff. I forgot about stringers but I have always intended to back the inserts with some reinforcement patches albeit carbon or kevlar, in windsurfers we build them with large carbon patches around fin box and mast base to di...
