I got a few topsheets from these guys last week as well. The quality looks really good and im excited to layup a ski.

A quick question, you guys are saying you flamed the nylon topsheet prior to layup?

Drum sander

Is anyone using a large drum sander to profile their cores with sidewalls attached? Severl video look like the cores are profiled this way, Never summer and swell planks. If anyone does this, how does it work and how large of sander is required.

I'd be interested in that sublamination press and blanket. What are you looking to sell that for? Have any topsheet material you are looking to sell?

Deflection calc

Assumptions:
clear span=7'=84"
pressure (60psi over 6")=360lbs per in
E(steel)=29000000 psi
Ix (W14X38)=385 in^4

Deflection=5(w)(l)^4/(384*e*I)

5(360)(84)^4/(384*29000000*385)=0.021" at center of span

My last pair of skis had a wrinkle in the top sheet clear plastic masking and made an indentation that is subtle but noticeable. I am trying to figure a way to keep the top sheet protected but not have that happen again. In one ...

Topsheet protection

Falls, What kind of contact paper do you have over your topsheet? Does that come on your topsheet when you get it printed. The stuff i get from CODA has a protective film but it peels off too easy and has wrinkles all over it. I see most of professional companies have a protective cover like you hav...

Looks great. I have a similar press as well. Center support can be hinged to allow for easy loading.
