I wanted to try resin infusion but there is no way to get resin between VDS and edge. Would be interested in your approach regarding this challenge...

I found out that I bought a different brand of blades which are sligthly smaller. Therefore the blade had no offset in the same position.

Thanks for poining me in the right direction!

The problem with the mogul is, that the z-axis goes around the y-axis otherwise it would be a lot easier to stiffen the gantry e.g. screw a rectangular tube to the backside.

CNC drag knife

A friend built me this drag knife: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V1zHuJ3Zryk There is no separate bearning, it sits just in the collet of my router. In the video everything works as it should. Today I wanted to cut a circle into cardboard (same type as in the video). It started to cut and the from ...

The max vacuum you can pull with ANY vacuum setup is your local barometric pressure (14.7psi at sea level on a standard day). If you want more you need an autoclave (or a high pressure weather system! :) ) Not any setup is really airtight. For normal vacuum bagging 80% is ok. I use vacuum infusion ...

I thinks this one is for very light work/materials. Does not look very rigid. But the vacuum table video is nice. I use very small 2mm holes on mine. What size of holes do you use. I think you loose a lot of air if you cut through the core and there is nothing on some holes. Need to redesign my vac ...

There is a plugin to export to .stl format. I use the stl file to feed my CAM software (Cut3D). It works quite good to profile the cores on my cnc router. The negative point is, that circles are not really circles in Sketchup. Same problem if dxf is imported from SnoCAD into Sketchup -> connected li...

I think this is the manufacturer of the carbon webbing: http://graphitemaster.com/

Still unsure about the light webbing in the first picture. Probably something secret from the aliens they bought from a mongolian shepherd :D

Nema23 is big enoug. If you need high speeds they are the wrong choice but they have plenty of power in my opinion.
