I use my Hitachi 15" planer and can do a pair of cores in about 10mins to within a few hundredths of a millimeter. Use it to make the reverse molds too :) Still interested in a CNC, though. I came up with the reverse molds I use by watching ON3P and Moment's factory vids. As far as a spiral cut...

Dtrain, mind divulging your veneer source? I'd love to do some veneer skis but a)don't know what I'm looking for, and b) can't seem to find any small-volume (and cheaper) source.

I agree with climberman- some of the nicest veneer skis I've ever seen. Nice work. How do you assemble the topsheet with differing veneers? Also, did you stain the "divide" on? Awesome stuff man!

The one concession I might have is heat cure, since that seems to be the only difference in what you've done and I've done, Yeti. I'd find it odd but the lack of heat could throw a wrench in things...
