Make ur own cores!
Personally I think making your own cores is the way to go. It isnt as complicated as you guys are making it sound. Keep it simple and do a good job during set up and you will get a great core everytime. I've made a few birch and poplar cores for $15 or so and they only take 45 mins to press. The har...

How much pressure can you expect from a pneumatic press?

Great. This is very helpful. I think for my next few pairs im gonna go for the vacuum press. The versitility of the press will allow me to try some new stuff. I guess all i need to do now is get the pump. Where should I look to get that? Do I just go to a second hand store and buy a fridge to rip ou...

What is the best press to make for the least $?
Im going between making a vacuum press, or a pnumatic press, and I cant decide. For one, Im lost @ how the vacuum set up works, although i think it may work well for my next skis because they are going to have some special features. Pnumatic presses are strong, but they seem a little sketchy. If som...

Haha. I would think a single radius would be fine for a pair or race skis. After all, it would make sense that it would make a really consistant turn. I know Igneous makes one. check um out. I can imagine that the tails would washout when carving tho. I have a pair of 190 GS racers that have a multi...
