I just bought a paar of HH axls and monted them on my newest skis. everything went finde except the mount of the heel bail. I was pretty accurate in doing what the manual told me, i even called the importeuer in germany to ask how to do it. but after 1,5h i gave up... i just wanted to test the bindi...

I m not sure if it s aluminium or steel. but when I think of teh normal aluminium you get (Al2Mg3) or something like that, it s pretty soft, and wouldn t stand the abuse by a 48 rockwell steel edge much longer, i guess. i did some 30° beveling on the last pairs, what reduced the damage a litte. I ve...

preventing veneer top-sheet from edge abuse
hey! i do almost every pair of skis with wood veneer now (i reduce plastics where possible...)my sidewalls are also of hardwood. problem: the wood veneers don t stand teh edge abuse from the other ski so long. the veneer looks after some hours of skiing very battered. i was on the ISPO last week in munich. guess what i saw there on a fischer freeride ski, that was cut into sections to show new bindings. the core had absolutely now recess at all. you could see very clearly that the core was pressed concave into the ski. in the center spot, the gap between base and...

how to darken laser recesses?
I cut some writings into different veneers that will be used as top sheets for some clients skis. To enhance the contrast (as promised to the customer...)i d like to colour the 3/10mm deep laser recesses black. I did some tests on veneers with slightly thicked black coloured epoxy, problem: i also f...
