bamboo side wall or just leave the core

I was wondering what would work best if I put a 6 or 10 mm bamboo sidewall or just leave my bamboo core as it is. Just thinkin if the sidewall gets damaged water moisture has to travel through a layer of epoxy before it can reach my core. Or I just let me core run to the edges and hope the bamboo do...

Teak as side walls

I have read in a few forums about people intending to use teak as side walls but havnt seen any after thoughts. It has a high oil content and rather robust is used as decking all the time in marine enviroment. Just needs to be degreased just before glue up. Any thoughts or info would be great

if the epoxy is cured it will be fine, as you know its a thinner to west system epoxy and can be used to clean up wet epoxy. But once the epoxy has cured it can be soaked in acetone for days with no harm done

Snowboard plugs as ski binding mounts

Has anyone tried snowboard plugs as ski binding mounts, I realise the plug will have to be perfectly lined up, but this may mean one set of bindings maybe able to be used on a few pairs of skis over the season. Also if you were to have two lots of plugs one set of plug holes for touring bindings and...

polyurathane glue as core glue up

Has anyone tried polyuranthane ( gorilla glue) glue as a replacement for epoxy as a core glue to reduce weight. As the glue is resonably waterproof and the final ski will be covered in epoxy aswell. any info will be great
