cat track material cost?
Hi,
I am about to build my cat track and have been looking at some 1/2 and 3/4 in square steel tubing at my local hardware. total estimated cost for the steel will be around 400 to 500$ does this seem about right to you guys or is that too high? the press is 8' X 1'4"

microfiber adhesive filler + tip spacers?
As the taper of my core rises there is substantial difference in my core height compared to the tip spacer material height. I was thinking of cutting fiberglass to fill these voids, but i have been thinking it will take a lot precise cutting and also take away valuable epoxy cure time minutes during...

So...........Sidewalls and profiling round 2 I did acouple of test bond samples with some scrap sidewall and core material. After testing my samples I decided that a nice rough, almost fuzzy texture worked the best for me. I used a drum sander with some water to achive this. also a little hand sandi...

vacuum lay up: one or two skis at a time
so whats is everyones opinion dealing with the effects of laying up one ski at a time vs both? does laying up one at a time make inconsistencies in flex etc. more likely? also it will be my first time laying up so will I feel too rushed trying to do both? I have fairly slow curing epoxy: west system...
