If you need to find broken skis and lot of them, head to the nearest water ramping facility. I myself have broken at least 20 skis in the pool. that being said they usually snap or bend the core about 4 inches infront or behind the binding if that helps.

^you were right dynastar did'nt put an extra edge but the reinforced it like mad. but atomic did. go here http://winter.atomicski.com/technology.php and its like the 2nd one down

multiple edeges in the base

i'm looking into making a pair of twins for all mtn. / park skiing and i was wondering if any of you super duper smart people could fill me in on how burton,atomic,elan and dynastar can put edges inside the base of the ski.

bamboo stringers

ninthward has skis with a bamboo stringer instead of carbon but wiuld bamboo give you the flex you need? if so how thick?
