I'm also new at this, have been skiing on my first pair this season. I'm located in Rhode Island, but ski in Franconia.

you're going to have a hard time doing it in just epoxy. your best chance is to get some real high density filler. cabosil isn't going to be good enough. West system makes a high density filler which should be good enough. Another thing you can try is wrapping the bolt in glass or carbon strands. Wa...

Thanks for the help. Forgot about bent beams springing back. But I did add a layer of uni directional in and made a pair with the mold as is and skied on them last weekend. Alright, So I'm a newbie at this game and would greatly appreciate some help. I've pulled two skis now and both have gone flat when I pulled them off the mold. I've used it a bunch in sail boats and its pretty cool stuff. The hard part is making sure you get a good core bond. We've found it works well if you wet the carbon first then use a roller to put a film of epoxy on the honeycomb. Then laying it up with either perforated plastic or peal ply in a vacu...
