I began to build a clamp press. But the precision that is necessary to get a clamp press to work is much higher.
Vacuum presses are much easier to get to work. And it is easy to change size for different skis or boards.

Gorilla Glue works fine.
Me and my friend just do two 1/4" pieces of baltic birch plywood with gorilla glue in the middle.
It is nice because it needs moisture to cure well. You can steam or soak the wood a little bit, and make it pliable.
Too much moisutre can cause the plywood to delam.

Did you also purchase your vacuum bag from joewoodworker?

or did you make it yourself?
if so, what material did you use? and the material to seal it?
what about the valve?

thanks,

Solid bamboo core

Would it be possible to make a solid bamboo core?

My local wood supplier has the right size planks for it.
and they're kinda cheap- about 7 bucks a piece

what are the downsides of using a solid core?
