I used Spyder Foam. It is the best foam i found, because it has some flexibility and soaks up the resin nicely. Spyder foam is XPS manufactured by Dow. The foam is also referred to as Surfboard foam by them It seems it's used mostly in RC aircraft wing builds. I liked working with it and the Hotwire...

ya it is a cap. for the bindings i cut door screen material and placed 2 criss crossing layers where the bindings would mount. seems to hold well i also used epoxy in the holes and then let them sit upside down so the foam wouldn't soak up all the epoxy.

I just did that with my foam cores, too thin in the tip and the tip was supper flexy. But i think i like it because it acts like a rocker in any soft pow. but then i feel like i have no edge grip when on hard pack. also sorry to steal this thread. but i was wondering what kind of glass i should put ...

salomon and atomic have been building foam skis for a while. the suggar daddy is a great ski, I just can't believe how light the ski i made is could be like 2lbs, when i know for sure i'll tell you.

Ya man i am also a TMCC drop out. I just finnished my first ski, built a vacuum press. Glad to see others keepin it going. I would love to meet up and talk some shop, i live in donner lake, or lets go ski squaw
