I cut strips of balsa wood, then I glued with polyurethane glue, flexural stiffness is expected to increase.

Yes, of course, I already know these skis but I'm thinking to something better, lighter, more efficient and faster to use.

I found balsa wood. Very light, not sure about strength.

I already use a pair of short skis and they work ;) trust me, I cut a pair of longer ski-mountaineering skis but with dynafit bindings they weight about 1 kg. wood or fiber?

what is more important to preserve the flex and the camber in a pair of skis for many years?
the wood used or fiber? or something else like the whole process of making?
