I just pressed my first pair of skis and they look amazing. the only problem is that the packaging tape i put down on my bases before layup to keep them clean won't come off. does anyone have any tips for removing this tape such as some sort of chemical or anything?

finding binding inserts

Does anyone have good methods of locating binding inserts after layup in skis that have an opaque topsheet OTHER THAN the magnetic cap and iron filing method?

PVC hose vs. Firehose

Can PVC hose be used instead of firehose in a pneumatic press? its much cheaper, is it strong enough to withstand the pressure of lamination?
