Pneumatic press (WIP) for sale

I have a work in process pneumatic press. The frame is an I beam type, have hoses, cat track, attempt at an adjustable mold(no good prototype). I have run this up to 35PSI for testing never beyond yet as I was still working on all the other aspects of ski building. I will get pics for serious inquir...

$5000 each Haa, For 5k you better have a few spools coming. HR would definately be an issue with the scale, not sure if the heat treat would do much to remedy this. CR is the key. Its to bad the US has shipped out most of our tooling. About ten years ago my town still had the tooling for this type o...

The key is to steam the skis without letting them get too wet(keep the condensation from dripping onto the wood(they warp as they dry if they get too wet). You must steam them for about 1hour then put them in the camber jig that you show, slowly bending the tip and tail bends( I built a two piece ji...

I am not positive on your design but I believe you need to look at tensile strength not shear strength. If the load on the two pieces being held together is trying to seperate the pieces(stretch the bolt) as opposed to the load trying to slide one piece on the other in a way that would mis-align the...

Thank you plywood, I hadn't realized all the variations in edges being used by manufacturers. I need to do some searching around for suppliers, however as you mentioned bending those others are going to be tough, Im having a hard enough time getting these bent and on plane.

My edges are screwed.. wait no they're not. Please read on.

I am trying to find screw on edges like they used way back when. Does anyone know if there is still a manufacturer of such things. Technology marched forward and I got left behind scrounging through the junkyard of time.

Thanks guys, this site is truly like none other.

Check what the pressure rating is. Ive found 6 inch hose rated for 50psi, while its not fire hose, if those pressures were sufficient for your building practice, Id suppose it could work. But Im no expert, I couldnt say yes or no.

After further research I dont think it would be a good idea to subject the heater to the forces of a press. Although providing you could dissipate the heat well enough I still think you may be able to use them with a vacuum setup. Im going to keep looking into it.

waterbed heaters?? (cheap alternative for blanket)

Is it possible to use water bed heaters for a heating blanket. Maybe someone has already had this thought and researched it a little. My guess is they are not the same same thing but if they were there are lots of used ones out there. I did a search and was surprised this hasn't come up yet. Fire aw...
