Price:

If your serious, make me an offer. I have close to this amount in material cost for the press and fiberglass alone, plus my time of course.

It says obo in the offer, and I am willing to negotiate.

Bend,

The press does bend a bit, thus the crossbraces. In the pic, it's under 50psi and is bowed. At first I was a little put off by this, thinking I'd get a bad press as a result, but it didn't matter at all. I got great lamination all the way down the length of the boards.

Thanks!

Thanks for fixing that up.

The bladder is in the wrong position in the pic. I just stuck it together to get a photo. I normally resides between like it should.

Single Ski or Splitboard press for Sale $400 with/bladder

$400 or best, will trade for a canoe, fly fishing gear, lift tickets, paragliding equip.....what you got? This is a 5/16"wall tube steel press frame, and air bladder used to build skis and split boards. There is a mold that comes with it for a 163cm splitboard design of my own. I have some tria...

power supply

I just bought a power supply from RE-PC here in Seattle for $1.50! Are Mac parts so hard to come by?

IF someone had a Youtube account, and the file, they could post it up for us all?

webbing

Climbing webbing is also just a bit stretchy. You'd also have to make sure there were no twists at all , and have a really slow epoxy.

thoughts

I am now thinking, that round tube would distort too much, even in steel. IF the bladder were in the middle, and molds top and bottom form fitting, the sides of the tube would tend to straighten due to the vertical pressure. I'm certain the wall thickness would be a =/- factor but too risky. Besides...

under floor heater?

You know those radiant floor heat pads you can put under your carpet or hardwood? Those come in all shapes and sizes, and have thermostat kits an everything. One could buy a small piece, trim to size (they are mesh), and stick it in there?

Just thinking outside (or inside) the box.

round press idea

Just to get the engineers upset, I decided to tinker with a round press idea. Besides the obvious alignment issues, any thoughts? Could make for an inexpensive option using large diameter, high pressure PVC or ABS? ;) http://picasaweb.google.com/scottychop/Misc/photo?authkey=KRnVShZ0Q1c#514180839650...

compressor choice?

Just starting to plan out my press build, and wondering what kinds of compressors you are using? Will small pancake compressors burn out quick? Tight budget...you know the drill?
