Most of the thin plastics have to be corona or plasma treated because it melts under flame treatment. I have talked to the guys at crown about it and they hate having to corona treat, the bond is not as strong, and the treatment doesn't last as long either (you did say you got your Nylon a while bac...

Where have you been all of my life (and maybe speaking for eveyone here)! Anyways, I have always been curious about direct printing, is it epoxy through an inkjet printer? Catalyst and all? Does it need a flood coat, or do you print white as well? I am sick of Iso PBT, the durability is crap. I woul...

now if only we could get this together for some iso PBT and crown Galleria! we could all be getting the same prices as mervin soon! Now if only ANYBODY OTHER THAN ISOSPORT would make sublimatable topsheet material, we would be thrilled! I wish Crown would get into this game, maybe with Nylon (hint ...

Love the ingenuity (so don't take this the wrong way)! I tried this long ago (well a DIY press anyways) and it was really hard to get to work right. It takes a lot more pressure than you would think to get through UHMW. I welded a steel frame and used a bottle jack, and it barely worked. I forget th...

They are a totally antiquated company that stays in business beside themselves...Burton uses Isosport, and honestly...coloring and running a flame over plastic? Really? That takes all your time? I'm in the wrong business... Burton used to use Crown for domestic production until they moved it to Aus...

Guys, cut them some slack on the timelines! We are VERY lucky that they even deal with quantities that we ask for. Even as a small company I am very thankful that Jim will help me out and get things going as quickly as possible. When you get hit with a long lead time, it is likely that their large c...

From someone who does it in house, I can tell you that it is a pain to get right. I would outsource it for sure if I had someone close to me that could turn individual orders quickly, but I don't have that luxury. Inks are expensive, printers clog/break, and topsheet material is a pain to source. I ...

Anyone have some Isosport PBT on hand to ship ASAP?
Do any of you guys have any Isosport PBT on hand that you could spare? I am in dire need of whatever I can get until a larger shipment arrives. 10 meters+ would be great and I would love to get it the week of Nov 1st (next week!). SBM is pretty much out right now and I have some orders I NEED to get...

Crazy die cuts and assembly
Sorry for double posting this over here (I posted on Graf too but no responses): So we see all these new fancy base graphics every year, and the die cuts get more and more complicated, but I want to know how they are assembling them? Are they all cut in China and little kids spend hours putting the ...
