..home from Haute Route.....I hate skins, crampons or whatever needed to climb uphill...for now..
I will do the trip next year aswell, but with the right equipment. Eg. lightweight.
Anyone, any ideas for randoneé skis? Lightweigth material and dimensions.
So "kinky" is flat or vice versa or...I'm just trying to catch up with the lingo.
On th other hand I just think the skis looks amazing. I wouldn't even come up with that idea. I'm just and old racer brought up on ice. So I'm chasing the optimal carve. Have no or little exp. on powder.
I read in the HowTo guide that they had experinced a loss of approx 10mm of camber compare to the mold during the laminate process. I took that in calculation when I made my mold, it's 20mm. I'm using maple and pine(fir). They went "back" 10mm. So I got a 10 mm camber... :) Just what I wan...

Why didn't I go back /stay...don't even think ask that question!

On the short sides I used the technique showed on JoeWoodworker, the one with clamps. The bag is very sealed! I only run my pump 25 sec/hour. At 23¨hg..whoo...
